There are nine
Essential Features (EFs) of Universal PBS (the
bottom portion of the PBS pyramid). When PBS
buildings start with a well designed action plan that includes all of
the EFs , and then implement the PBS plan with consistency across
all staff and all settings throughout the academic year, they can
anticipate an increase
appropriate behaviors and academic learning time, decrease problem
behaviors, and ultimately increase academic achievement.
