Shepard Elementary School, located in Columbia, Missouri, is a school with rich tradition and intense community pride. It is the unconditional belief that all students can be successful that makes Shepard School a special place.

A common set of values unifies the efforts of the Shepard community. The school has adopted Stephen Covey's ideas found in The Leader in Me which instills the "7 Habits of Effective People."
 

 

 As a school PTA president once described it, Shepard School is "...a place where children are buzzing with excitement about learning, while teachers lead the way with positive energy. From share fairs to incentive assemblies, from choir performances to Science Olympiad, Shepard is a place where learning is celebrated. Shepard gives children a solid educational experience and a sense of self-worth and accomplishment."
