Early African History, Until 16th Century
-this website gives a pretty basic history of West Africa, early trade, kingdoms, and the Mali Empire. The information is pretty simple, but it has some good maps and diagrams of the different regions and how they spread from one to another.
African History
-“Precolonial Africa.” This traces the history of Africa back to the arrival of Herodotus and his descriptions of what he saw as a Greek. The two most helpful linked pages would be the notes on East Africa, West Africa, and Sundiata.
