Shepard Boulevard Elementary School opened in 1968. It is located on part of what used to be the Shepard Dairy Farm.

The Shepard mascot is the Stallions.

The 2013-14 enrollment at Shepard is 592.

All Shepard classrooms have a Smartboard, data projector, iPad, and mini iPad. We have three mobile computer labs and one large computer lab for students to assess various technology resources.

Shepard is a nationally recognized LEADER IN ME school. The LEADER IN ME receives national recognition for its emphasis on developing leadership in young children. The principles of this work are from Dr. Stephen R. Covey, author of the 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE. These principles teach habits that develop the whole child to become leaders immediately in preparation for their many opportunities to be leaders tomorrow.

Vision Statement: The Shepard family is committed to creating an engaging, safe environment where all children are empowered to grow as learners and confident leaders.
