Water is one of Earth's most valuable and precious resources. It is needed for many things in life. Below, you will learn about earth's water, where it is found, how it is used, and how it is ABUSED! You will perform a variety of activities that are found below and answer questions about each activity. Make sure you write down all of the questions with your answers on a separate piece of paper. You can later transfer these answers to a word processing program.
 


 

ACTIVITY 1

A Day in the Life of Drippy

In the following activity you will observe and explore how water is reused on earth. After you go to the site below, you will write a story in Microsoft Word about Drippy, the  water droplet. In your story, you should include Drippy's experiences as he/she travels through each part of the water cycle.  Include all the correct terms for each process in the water cycle.  Just click on the link below to review the water cycle.

What's Wrong With This Picture?

  • Go to the website below and follow the directions on the page. 
  • Choose two things the people were doing wrong, and write write a letter to them describing what they could do differently to keep from polluting the Earth's water.  Use Microsoft Word to compose your letter.
