 The Task

You push the pause button on your remote and casually pick up the phone.  After exchanging pleasantries with the mayor, he offers this proposal:

The City of Columbia is seeking to attract new residents and businesses to boost the economy.  The Business Association has expressed a need for more quality employees, while the residents have complained of the need for a wider variety of businesses to meet their needs.  Your agency has been selected as one of several agencies to design an advertising plan to attract new businesses and residents to the community.  Only one of the plans will be selected by the City Council to represent Columbia.
After turning off your cell phone, you silently reflect on the conversation before picking up your remote.  If selected you could become a multi-millionaire, as well as make the cover of People magazine.  Suddenly questions swarm through your head.  What would a project of this magnitude look like?  Hmmm....
Picking up your laptop, you open up Inspiration to do some brainstorming.  Finally, you decide that after your agency thoroughly researches the community, your available options could be:
  •  PowerPoint presentation 
  • a Publisher brochure
  • or a poster gallery exhibit.
