Ahhh, you've chosen the book review. What a great choice!
Just follow the directions to instant fame!
Directions:(Read all directions before starting!)
1. In one of your Writer's
Notebooks, write a short rough draft of your book review about Holes.
Your review should include these parts:
1) Summary
(4-7 sentences about what the story was about-
don't tell the end!),
2) Response
(how you felt about the story, what you liked or
didn't like about it (use details from the book)),
3)
Your Favorite part (What did you like best about the
book and why?),
4) Recommendation
(would you recommend it to others and
why).
**Make sure BOTH YOU AND YOUR PARTNER read through your review draft to make sure it flows.
2. Revise and edit your review to correct mistakes.
3. Click on this link : World of Reading
4. Fill in the boxes on the website.
- Child's name: ONLY ENTER YOUR FIRST NAMES. (For example: Bob and Bill)
- Age: enter your age
- Title of the book: Holes
- Authors name: Louis Sachar
- Review: type your review from your Writer's Notebook
5. When you get to
the last 5 lines (after the review), raise your hand for the teacher.
He/she will fill in the last part.
6. Click "Submit Review."
