Dear Parents ...

Believe it or not, our program year ends in about three months. Parent Educators are working hard to meet with their families and complete the required developmental screenings. You can help us maximize our funding by keeping all your scheduled appointments. In the event of an emergency, and you need to cancel your appointment, please contact your Parent Educator as far in advance as possible so that she will be more likely to reschedule the missed visit before our program year ends.
Parent/child activities and group meetings are an integral part of our PAT program. These events provide opportunities for parents and children to learn together and include suggestions to extend learning at home. Your participation in these events also directly impacts the amount of funding PAT receives from the Missouri Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education. The reimbursement we receive from your attendance allows us to fund future group meeting events.

As you read this newsletter, please note that we have included specific information about our meetings that we hope you will find helpful. For instance, one of our events for toddlers (Health: All by Myself) is being held on two different dates. One is for one-year-olds (12-23 months) while another is for two year olds(24-36 months). Infants are welcome on either date. We are offering this event two different times to reduce crowding and to provide easier access to parking.
Math Magic for Preschoolers (for 3 to 5 year olds) begins at 6:30 pm. Please arrive promptly so that you can enjoy the full variety of activities, including time with Linda Coutts, our district’s math coordinator for kindergarten through 5th grade.
All these events are designed to help realize the PAT vision... All children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential. We look forward to seeing you there!

Coordinator, Parents As Teachers
