Thank you for your participation in Parents As Teachers during the past year! We are pleased to offer this internationally recognized program to all Columbia Public School residents.
During the past few months we have been busy gathering data for our yearly reports for both the Missouri Department of Education and the Parents As Teachers National Center, as well as results from our parent survey. We appreciate those of you who took the time to complete the survey and return it to us. Your feedback is important to us as we consider what services we can provide our families that meet required guidelines as well as what our budget allows.
An overwhelming majority of parents responded that the personal visits have been very helpful. Some of the comments we received:

© The handouts are great. They give us so many ideas for how to help our child continue to grow and learn.
Parents who have attended our group meetings and activities responded that they have been very helpful and provided a fun learning experience. I encourage those of you who have not had an opportunity to take advantage of this part of our program to read the newsletter and ask your parent educator for details regarding upcoming events. We have already scheduled several events. We kick off the year on August 29th when we will host Messy Night for parents and children - ‘walkers’ to age 3 - at Cosmos Park from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
