WHAT CAN THE TEACHER AND THE SCHOOL DO?
Bullying affects many of the students at schools around the world. We cannot completely stop bullying, but there are things that we can do to reduce it.
Teachers should:
*Model appropriate behavior
*Notice when a child is isolated or sad and look for the reasons why
*Teach the expectations and use social lessons
*Have classroom meetings to promote the discussion of concerns and give students an opportunity to talk about bulling.
*Never tell a student to "toughen up" or "deal with it"
*Don't look at this
