Group Policy is a feature of Microsoft Windows that controls the working environment of user and computer accounts on your machine. Each time someone logs into a computer on our network it will ask the server for a set of instructions based on who logged in and at which school. This process can take a few seconds and a bit longer over wireless. Some of the rules that apply are which printers are installed, which network drives are mapped, and what access you have to Windows features. If the group policy does not apply properly on login it’s possible to re-request the commands in order for your drives to map, printers to connect, and so forth.
If you are missing printers or drives it is suggested you close all programs and run gpudpate:

Open Network Applications and run Group Policy Update.
Press the Yes dialog box to run the update.
It will run then it will log you out of Windows.
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and log back into Windows.
Please be patient as it may take a moment longer than usual as it applies policy to your computer.
