What is the purpose of the Kewpie Alumni Authors Project?
To establish a special collection of published works by Hickman High School alumni, and current or former faculty member. To showcase the talent of Hickman High School alums and faculty and inspire current students and faculty. To increase the quality and quantity of the Hickman High School Library/Media Center collection of books and materials. To collect and circulate through the Hickman High School Library/Media Center all donations made to the Kewpie Alumni Authors Project.
What kinds of materials can be donated to the Kewpie Alumni Authors Project?
The Kewpie Alumni Authors Project accepts works of fiction and nonfiction books, musical compositions, professionally produced films, videos and software programs. All donations to the program must meet the Columbia Public Schools' District Selection Policy (see link on left). All donations to the program will be evaluated by the Hickman High School Library/ Media Center staff and, if accepted, become the property of the Hickman High School Library/Media Center collection. Special book plates will be affixed to all donations indicating donor's name and class.
