| Willie Nelson : Face of a Fighter | |
| Genre: Country | Dates: Early 60's |
Willie didn't just materialize out of the blue when he galvanized "Outlaw" country in the 1970s and became a superstar. He had been writing country classics (like "Family Bible," "Crazy," and "Hello Walls") since the late 1950s, and his one-of-kind, conversational vocal delivery was there from his own first recording. The problem was that Nashville didn't know what to do with a writer, player, and singer so idiosyncratic. This collection places him squarely a decade ahead of his time.
