TV on the Radio is a difficult, original band, just on the fringe of both an accessible R&B and a noise-rock sound.  Therefore. the listener must be prepared for the melding of these two, not one or the other exclusively.  Return to Cookie Mountain was an Internet music-community phenomenon for simply for its individuality in 2006, and was a solid, surprising follow-up to the band’s first album.
