Radiohead

Radiohead : Kid A

Genre: Electronic

Dates: 2000

Being popular is totally lame, according to Thom Yorke.  For the well-being of insecure elitists everywhere, Radiohead, for the first time, consciously went out of their way to be as non-corporate as possible, making a polar shift from the heavy guitar of their past efforts.  Fortunately, Yorke’s idea of electronic music was near-perfect, borrowing different traits from the entire genre and meshing them with their already established alternative sound.  Amnesiac, the sister to Kid A, is also worth noting.  Radiohead eventually returned to an incarnation of their previous guitar-band self for Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows.
