Pulp : Different Class |
Genre: Rock/Pop |
Dates: 1995 |
It’s difficult not to appreciate Jarvis Cocker’s view of relationships after a perusal of his charming, sensible lyrics, seeming realistic to the ordinary listener and delivered in his own seductive talk-sing fashion. In the way of The Kinks’ Village Green and Blur’s Parklife, Different Class serves as a dirge dedicated to British love and youthful adventures, far more narrative-based in comparison to Pulp’s other work. Only a few notable releases came out of the mid-90’s Britpop craze; Different Class would have to be included among them. (Review by Jon Hadusek)
