One of the least humble titles in music history, from one of the least humble artists in music history, but as the man's proved over and over again, it ain't braggin' if you can do it. While some of his early classics have dated (as rap seems designed to do), the string of rhythmic haymakers delivered on the first two-thirds of the compilation, highlighted by the stripped-down "Rock the Bells," the sax-driven "Goin' Back to Cali," the hilarious and scandalous "Big Ol' Butt," the boomin' "Boomin' System," the rock-hard "Mama Said Knock You Out," have not. The hits have continued since his ascendancy in the late '80s; the power has not. This is the best place to sample the man.
