| Howlin' Wolf : The Best of Howlin' Wolf - The Millenium Collection | |
| Genre: Blues | Dates: |
I can't say it any better than producer Sam Phillips (producer/discover of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and many more) did after he first heard The Mighty Wolf: "This is where the soul of man never dies." Lots of overlap with our other Wolf item, but this has something pretty special: dialogue from The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions in which Wolf, sounding like he's being swarmed by gnats, instructs none other than Eric Clapton in how to play his classic "Little Red Rooster."
