Singer intones—as opposed to sings—words defining the joys and terrors and confusion of young American bohemians. Band roils and swells and rocks as if it’s ’75. The combination of the two knocked our socks off in December of 2006 on Hickman’s Little Theatre Stage. We are forever beholden. This is one of the best releases of ’06; the band had just made the cover of Blender when they appeared. And...they shouted out to Hickman’s Academy of Rock in summer ’07 at the Blue Note! Highly recommended to fans of Beat literature.
