Gogol Bordello : Gypsy Punk - Under World Strike |
Genre: Gypsy Punk |
Dates: 2005 |
If, like me, you miss The Clash’s enthusiasm, anger, challenge, and fun, there’s no better place to start feeling better than with Eugene Hutz—the world’s closest thing to Joe Strummer—and Gogol Bordello. Besides punk tempos and Hutz spitting out lyrics ranging from political to carnal, you get pretty much what the title advertises: violins sawing to make the WTO burn and rhythms you can’t help but dance to. A great CD to check out along with Balkan Beat Box’s (see above).
