Descendants: Two Things At Once
Genre: Hard Core Punk Dates: 1986-1987

Talk about great teenage hardcore: not only was lead singer Milo Auckerman the first punk lead singer with glasses (Jad Fair being a possible exception), the subject matter and the specificity with which it was conveyed nails those painful times perfectly—they even feel compelled to deny being punks and losers! The title refers to the tacking on of their first EP (“Bonus Fat”) to the album once called Milo Goes to College; don’t miss “I Like Food” and “Der Weinerschnitzel,” the fastest songs in music history. They barely add up to a half-minute! And....“Mr. Bass” ain’t about an instrument, fishermen.
