Rap music opens its arms to “the funky Latin lingo,” as the group calls it. Fired by the innovative, soul-influenced production of DJ Muggs, they shone a blunted light on life on the L. A. streets. Later, they would become too enamoured of their NORML interests; here, the music, flow, lyrics, and bite combine to create one of the most distinctive hip-hop albums of the 1990s. Note: their greatest hits can be obtained completely en Espanol.
