Again, many of the performers are Hickman and Rock Bridge grads, or have some connection to one school or the other. Witch’s Hat were responsible for two of the most ecstatic Amnesty International benefit performance is Columbia history; The Frustrated Bachelor’s driving force was one of Hickman’s most intriguing substitute teachers; the klezmer-mania generated by the People’s Republic flows directly from a Bruin’s accordion and exalted vocals and a Kewpie’s sax; The Souls and Stout both boast cerebral and witty guitarists who bled purple and gold.
