This is what would have happened if the Shangri-Las (of "Leader of the Pack" fame—see Girl Group Greats, below) had gone to art school and hired the Who as a backing band. At the very least, it's certainly the greatest accomplishment by a former Playboy Bunny in cultural history, and a reminder that, in America, just because something's popular, it is not necessarily bad: at the time, "true" punks reviled it, the first indication that, as great as they can be, "true" punks usually go off half-cocked.
