Bjork: Homogenic |
Genre: Electronic |
Dates: 1997 |
Get past the initial alarm of Bjork’s falsetto and you have a lush electronic opus. Bjork typically uses a specific theme to unify each of her album’s lyrics and music, a trend which inexplicably gives her records a “love ‘em or hate ‘em” characteristic. Getting into electronic music is not easy for one who has been conditioned to opposing styles, but Homogenic and Radiohead’s Kid A serve as good transitions from a more rock-oriented realm.
