Bob Dylan : Highway 61 Revisited
Genre: Rock Dates: 1965

This record changed my life, and will probably change yours. It certainly changed rock and roll history—no record before, even his own, had ever erupted with such shattering images, off-the-wall humor, and ideas worth considering past the end of the album. It definitely changed the artist’s life, because he’s been trying to live up to it ever since. Check it out, and have your mind blown. Parlor game: listen to “Desolation Row,” and try to figure out whether it’s better to be in or out of it, and just what it takes to be in either situation.
