The Guidance Department is located in the east end of Hickman High School. Students are divided according to first letter of last name, and are assigned a school counselor for all three years. In addition, we house one Success Center Counselor, one Outreach Counselor, one part time MAC Scholar Coordinator, our Registrar, and Guidance Support Staff.

  • The University of Missouri's Business Student Council is honored to extend your seniors an invitation to attend our Trulaske Leaders Academy. Sept 17-18th. Registration due by Sept. 7th. $45
  • This 2 day weekend is full of tremendous opportunities for your students to explore Mizzou's campus and business school while learning valuable skills for their college careers. There are some great events planned including a resume creation activity, one-on-one interaction with Business Student Council to offer advice and helpful pointers for entering their freshman year in business, a Business School Organization Mini Mart where students will have the opportunity to see the endless possibilities while pursuing a degree in business.

  • SUPER SATURDAY is coming up on Saturday, October 2, 8 am-3 pm.This is an opportunity to take a real ACT exam, have it scored right away, and receive tutoring in each subject area--a great way to prepare to take the ACT! Cost is $15. Sign up with Mrs. Lewis in the Guidance Office.
  • PSAT--The PSAT date is set for Saturday, October 16 at Hickman. Sign up with Mrs. Lewis in the Guidance Office. Cost is $18, however, students who qualify may request a fee waiver.

    The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test will be given beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, at Hickman High School. This is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Competition, a program that recognizes students scoring in the top three per cent with honors and scholarship potential.

    For students who have conflicts on October 16, a make up test will be given October 13 at Rock Bridge High School. Students must have a written request to sign up for the October 14 test, which will be given in the morning at 8 a.m.
