Board of Education Finance Committee

Purpose of the committee To assist and advise the Board of Education in relation to the Board of Education's responsibilities for the district's accounting policies, internal controls, financial reporting, and financial management
Term of service Three Board of Education members as appointed by the Board president plus two CPS administrators appointed by the Superintendent - the  Chief Financial Officer and the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.  Additional appointments can be made each year as allowed under Board policy BCE.  The committee membership, as outlined in our Comprehensive School Improvement Plan, shall include community volunteers comprising at least 20% of the total membership.
