Practical Arts Program Evaluation Committee

Purpose of the committee To review research related to Practical Arts and apply this information to create a curriculum that will best serve the students of Columbia Public Schools
Term of service This committee will spend two years in program evaluation, creating the final report in September 2012. The committee will then begin the process of curriculum rewrite through the 2012-13 year, with Board of Education approval scheduled for the fall of 20132. Implementation occurs in the fall of 2013.
Time span of committee work September 2010 - May 2013
Time and frequency of meetings The committee has met about every other month and will continue on that basic schedule. If additional work needs to be done in order to complete the work, meetings will occur more often. Due to budget constraints, all work has been done after school or during district collaboration time. There was no money to meet during the school day.
