Coordinator

The Columbia Public Schools Social Studies Department prepares each student to be a responsible citizen in his or her community, nation, and world. It teaches students to analyze the past, draw analogies to the present, and speculate about the future; to appreciate the cultural heritage and diversity within the United States and throughout the world; and to understand the fundamentals of economic, sociological, and political systems.
