Parent and Community Involvement Objectives
Objectives: 1. The percent of family and community engagement in the educational process (PreK – 12) for those represented in each ESEA subgroup will increase annually by at least 5 percent from baseline data established in the 2010-11 school year, as measured by attendance at MAC Scholars Parent Meetings and Events, PTSA/Parent Organization meetings, parent/teacher conferences, district and school committees and open houses and programs specific to individual schools.
2. High student achievement requires a partnership between schools and the entire Columbia community (families, businesses, public and private agencies, organizations and individual community members). The district will actively recruit and engage diverse segments of the Columbia Public Schools community, to develop collaborative and supportive relationships with the district focused on student achievement as measured by a rubric that identifies low, medium and high correlations to student achievement. |
