Program Evaluation
- The purpose of program evaluation is to determine the quality and effectiveness of the curriculum. The Program Evaluation/Curriculum Review Process is illustrated on page 11 of the
Curriculum Handbook. The Program Evaluation will guide the curriculum revision process. Assessment should be evaluated and revised according to the Curriculum Assessment Questions Checklist.
- The curriculum coordinators will lead curriculum-writing committees during the years designated on a six-year cycle. This will include a review of the current curriculum following the MSIP guidelines.
Six-Year Curriculum Review
- All changes and revisions to the curriculum will be distributed to all principals, associated teachers and curriculum leaders in each building where the curriculum will be used.
- It will be the responsibility of the principal to monitor the implementation of the curriculum with support from content coordinators as appropriate.
- Textbook and supplemental materials selection may be conducted concurrently or after the curriculum review and revision as determined through the curriculum revision process.
