Work experience:
My experience in education
includes serving as an elementary teacher, special education
teacher, literacy coach, Director of Special Services, and assistant
and adjunct professor throughout Missouri (Hannibal, Blue Springs,
Raytown, and Columbia). I also enjoyed working as a cognitive
therapist and Co-Director of the Children's Assessment Clinic for
the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics and Rusk
Rehabilitation.

Family and interests:
Although I was raised in St. Louis as a Cardinals fan, my
husband, Curt, is from Kansas City and is a die-hard Royals fan. Our
son, Adam, is loyal to his father and the Royals, although the team
has not seen much success in his lifetime. He attends the University
of Kentucky in Lexington. I enjoy running 5Ks and trying to
resurrect my Spanish-speaking skills.
