Virtual Backpack

Virtual_BackpackVirtual Backpack connects the community with Columbia Public Schools.  It is our eco-friendly way to distribute information on educational programming and activities available to students in the community.

Rather than sending flyers via backpack (which previously only took place at the elementary level), we are now posting approved information on this "virtual backpack" Web page. It is estimated that this saves nearly 2,000 hours per year in labor, as well as conserves natural resources.

During the school year, regular notices will be sent to parents and families reminding them that flyer information is posted online. Those wishing to submit information to be posted must do so by e-mailing a completed Virtual Backpack District-Wide Distribution Request Form and sending a PDF of the requested posting to Columbia Public Schools' Community Relations Department, in care of Molly Delgado (mdelgado@columbia.k12.mo.us) at least 14 days in advance of the desired posting date.

Prior to submitting, please review the distribution guidelines carefully. Approval of materials is at the sole discretion of Columbia Public Schools; please be advised that we have very specific guidelines governing the distribution of materials through our communication systems. Requesting organizations must be located within the Columbia Public Schools' boundaries.

Materials posted on this page are the responsibility of the organization represented, and endorsement by Columbia Public Schools is neither direct nor implied.
